Halloween is fast approaching and I am excited! My good friend Stacy Young (Three Winks Studio) and I are putting on a Halloween event where you can bring your kids to have their photo taken in their costume. I did this last year and it was so much fun. The pictures turned out great. So here is the flyer for this years event. Please make it out if you can! Saturday October 20 from 1-4 pm at 3356 S 1100 E and Wednesday October 24 at 728 Northview Circle. Please feel free to contact me with any questions!

Crew's Portfolio
Here are some shots of Crew that I took today. I have five other images already picked for his portfolio, and I'm trying to pick one last shot out of these 10. If anyone could please help me out and tell me which is their favorite image I would appreciate it. This is for a modeling portfolio, so it doesn't necessarily have to be a smile. I get attached to the images of my kids, so I would love some opinions. PLEASE HELP! I need to send this image out by Thursday, so please leave some comments to help me decide. Thanks!

Introducing Jamon Randall Hatch
This weekend I was in Arizona shooting a wedding. I arrived Friday afternoon and as it turned out, my good friend Jared Hatch was at the hospital in Show Low with his wife Mindy, who was about to deliver their first baby. I stopped at the hospital on my way into town and was disappointed to find that there was no baby yet. Later that night I was with Colleen Hatch (Jared's mom) when she got the call that she had a new grandson! We jumped right into the car (and I accidentally shut Gerald's hand in the door.....youch!) and drove back to Show Low to see the new baby. Since I had all my gear with me, I decided to snap a few shots of the new baby boy and the proud parents. So here is Jamon Randall Hatch. He was so sweet and adorable. Congrats Jared and Mindy! You'll both make wonderful parents.

Crew's First Day of Preschool
I thought this day would never come. I cannot believe Crew is already in preschool. This was his first day, September 5th, 2007. Except it was just an open house, so Mike and I got to go and meet his teacher. He seems to like it so far. He has always been really independent, so I wasn't surprised to hear from Mike the other day that Crew told him "you and Ral can't stay, just me."
Labor Day Weekend
Crew and I spent Labor Day Weekend at my parent's house in Dublin, Ohio. The reason for the trip was to photograph Ali Nameth and Matt Hooper's wedding on Sunday (see earlier posts), but on Saturday we got to hang out all day with the fam. Crew always has fun with his uncles. Raleigh was sick and had to stay home with Dad. This trip made me remember how easy it is to have just one kid. Especially when Grandma, Grandpa, uncles, aunts and cousins are around to entertain him.
Introducing Gil Simpson
In August we added a new family member, Gil Filfy Simpson. Crew reached a goal with his potty-training, so he earned a fish for a reward. He wanted a dog, but we thought a fish might be a better fit for a three year old to take care of. So here is Gil's internet debut. He is a redish Beta and appears to be happy in our home. I just pray that we don't kill him too soon! My dad predicted that he'd only last two weeks, but I think we recently passed the two week mark. Crew picked out his bowl, his castle, and his plant. The boys say hi to him every day and enjoy feeding him.
